JUDE X MAINICHI

Following a successful debut as part of the exhibition BOUNDfor the inaugural Ballarat Craft and Design Week 2026, collaborating designers Jude and Mainichi present a unique opportunity to further experience 'Step into Armour' in an exclusive three-month pop-up shop from July.

‘Step into Armour’ created by Melbourne-based Fashion Designer Jude Ng and Ballarat Designer/Maker Dearne Mills of Mainichi is a collaborative project that reimagines the three piece suit through layered, repurposed materials. Drawing on themes of cultural exchange, sustainability and extending the life of what we wear, the pop-up offers visitors an opportunity to explore and experience thoughtful design, slow making and creative re-use.

Alongside the exhibition piece, discover a curated collection of contemporary unisex fashion, jewellery, accessories and collaborative work inspired by the project. Throughout the season enjoy workshops, artist talks, in-store styling sessions, VIP shopping events and an exclusive opening night preview.

The shop will be open from 4th July 10am on Wadawurrung Country, at The Unicorn Collection, 131 Sturt Street, Ballarat
